Dubrovnik will record more than 30 000 overnight stays during the conference and agents are arriving from 160 countries
It seems that Mercedes Benz and Dubrovnik have a special bond. Not only was this Croatian city featured in Mercedes’ online magazine in their article “Welcome to Fantasyland“, but as it was just confirmed by Valamar Hotels and Resorts on January 20, 2016, this global megabrand has selected Dubrovnik as the centre of its global 2016 training sessions.
All Valamar Hotels in Dubrovnik are working around the clock to prepare for one of the biggest conferences ever organized in their objects. Mercedes Benz’s global training sessions will be held from the first week of February until mid-April, and it is expected that more than 15 000 agents from 160 countries will visit Dubrovnik during that period, meaning that Valamar hotels will record more than 30 000 overnight stays. More than 130 planes will land for this occasion and more than one thousand electricians, technicians, caterers, waiters and additional hotel staff will be required to meet the demands of this conference.
Trucks carrying the latest car models are already arriving in Dubrovnik including the entire E-Class range while several models, including the brand new E-Class 2016, SL, SLC, C convertible will have their European premiere in Dubrovnik just a few days after the global premiere at the Detroit Auto Show.
During the 6 week conference, Mercedes will organize several Open days for visitors so that the locals and tourists can sit behind the wheel of their latest models and take them for a test drive.
