Valamar Hotels and Resorts Offers Students an Early Ticket into Tourism

Daniela Rogulj

A leader in tourism in Croatia, the Valamar Riviera company is offering students scholarships in tourism for professions in hospitality at one of the largest tourist establishments in Croatia. The attractive scholarship program will grant students a value of 1,000 kuna per month during the school year, for a period of 10 months.

Around 200 students will have the opportunity to exercise the right to this grant, with the ability to have quality training in one of the Valamar facilities within the Valamar Riveria, recognized as one of the largest and most desirable employers in Croatia.

The Valamar Riviera scholarship for students is provided through a partnership with the Ministry of Tourism. The requirements for scholarship holders are that during their scholarship, they must regularly attend classes, enroll for a year and regularly graduate. Students will have the opportunity to do a quality practice in one of the attractive Valamar destinations that include Poreč, Rabac, Krk or Dubrovnik. After graduation, students may gain the right to employment in Valamar. The scholarship also provides free accommodation and food.

This scholarship program supports and encourages students to enroll and complete their educational programs for hospitality and tourism professions, providing a better connection with vocational schools and restaurants around Croatia.

Opportunities such as these raise the overall quality of Croatian tourism, and thus the quality of human resources in hospitality and tourism – a great example that can be followed by other tourism companies throughout Croatia.

More information about the scholarship program can be found on their website.
